Our Retail Centre is located at our beautiful acreage where we live with our Komondor, Cala, and our 2 lab retrievers, Dexter and Quin, surrounded by gorgeous gardens and courtyards, our retail centre, original art, and greenhouses stuffed full of breathtaking succulents (and a few cacti). And more recently a fine collection of Japanese maples and tillandisias (those wacky plants that grow in air).
In our "Artist in Our Garden" workshops, where you can "create, make and take" your creations, we offer classes in succulent bowls, living walls, and hypertufa. Our artisan bread bakery, and specialty Christmas cooking classes will be debuting Christmas 2012, upon completion of our new restaurant - The Firestick Cafe.
Our Retail Centre carries only products that we would personally have and use in our own home and garden, with many of the items being handmade by local artisans.
Not only do we grow all of our succulents in our onsite greanhouses but we also supply glass greenhouses (imported from Denmark) to the gardening enthusiast. As well as offering succulents and gardenware in our retail center, we are pleased to offer wholesale to other garden centres, florist shops, and businesses.
At Solar Gardens we're always planning for the future. Beginning in the spring of 2013, not only will you be enjoying wood fired pizzas and calzones in The Firestick Cafe, but you also wll be able to enjoy delicious coffee, cappuccinos, espressos, and a wide selection of tea and blooming teas on our new courtyard cappuccino deck. Who knew that the ambiance of a relaxing Parisian rooftop garden could be found in the middle of the prairies?
